Introduction and Background

SACMHA is a Registered Charity and has over 30 years experience of delivering a specialist services to people in need of assistance with their health and social care needs. This could be because of their age, youth, disability, financial  hardship or social disadvantage.

We continue to develop our range of support services, making community based health and social care more accessible, particularly to those who feel marginalised or who struggle to access mainstream services.

We aim to deliver a responsive and culturally sensitive services to all our service users and carers, exercising discretion and confidentiality at all time.

Our services are flexible and responsive to the changing health and social care needs of individuals and communities.

Our services are accessible to both men and women from the age of 18  and covers Yorkshire, Humberside and Nottinghamshire.

The Context

In a time of increasing financial challenges for this sector, SACMHA has increasingly benefitted from the generosity of individuals and organisations as a means of helping to fund our work.

Because of the very low administrative costs of the service, when you give, SACMHA guarantees that 85% of your donation goes directly to the provision of services and the development of new services that meet identified need

The Ways to Give

SACMHA welcomes and benefits from the donations in a range of different ways.

One-off Donations – Individuals, businesses, faith groups and other organisations that give a single donation of any amount to support SACMHA’s work.

For those individuals who choose to give and are UK tax payers, SACMHA can benefit from Gift Aid.

Gift Aid allows UK charities to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations by the donor. This means we can claim back from the government on your behalf 25p for every £1 donated, boosting the value of the donation by a quarter.

When you donate, you’ll be asked to confirm whether or not you are a UK taxpayer. Please note that Gift Aid can only be reclaimed on donations made by individuals who pay UK income or capital gains tax at a rate at least equal to the amount reclaimed on their donations in the current tax year.

All we need from you to claim the Gift Aid is the completion of a very short form.

Regular Donations – Individuals, businesses, faith groups and other organisations can choose to support SACMHA on a regular basis, either weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually, whichever suits the giver best.

Any amount, no matter how large or small will aid SACMHA in delivering high level, quality and responsive services.

It is very simple to arrange this way of giving and SACMHA will support those who wish to give in this way with the brief process.
